At Hymid, we take pride in being a part of MAKE UK, the Manufacturers Association. Our commitment to fostering collaboration, sharing industry insights, and contributing to the manufacturing sector's growth recently led us to an exciting milestone. For the first time, we had the honour of hosting MAKE UK's quarterly Regional Advisory Board meeting.
This gathering brought together volunteer Managing Directors from various companies, with one common goal - to discuss industry trends, and exchange news, tactics, and tips. These interactions aim to support not only one another but also the industry as a whole. Our Managing Director, Tom McMurtrie, aptly summed up the significance of these meetings:
"I see MAKE UK’s Regional Advisory Boards as 'wise counsel' – both as a sounding board for MAKE UK to discuss and receive honest feedback on policy changes, and as a lightning conductor for communicating policy to the membership. Our engagement and involvement in the process put the membership at the centre of MAKE UK, where it should be!"
This unique opportunity to host the event, despite being one of the smaller businesses represented, underscores our commitment to actively participating in shaping the future of the manufacturing industry.
